Advances in Chitin/Chitosan Characterization and Applications
This Special Issue features an updated series of open access articles addressing some of the major and innovative applications of chitin and chitosan including the chemical and enzymatic modifications of oligos and polymers. A better understanding of the properties that underpin the use of this large family of biopolymers in different fields is key to stimulating more extensive industrial utilization, as well as to aid regulatory agencies in establishing specifications, guidelines, and standards for different types of products and applications
